How Vinny became a Trainer

On an ordinary day of July 24th 1999 I walked by a gym and suddenly had the urge to go in. I did and joined that same day. At that time, my waist was a 34” and I weighed 130 lbs. I was excited when they recommended a personal trainer to get started. After working with my trainer for 9 months I began to positive results. About a year later I was ready to work out alone. For the first two years I was lifting heavy weights. I then began changing using technique I created on my own of changing my routine periodically. My body began to change dramatically. I continued these varied routines for with great success. I was quickly learning more information about the body, nutrition and workouts. One of the gym’s trainers took notice and approached me. The trainer felt the need to tell me that I had “a lot of potential for being a personal trainer.” I realized that my affinity and excitement about physical fitness would make me an ideal personal trainer. I told the trainer that I agreed and asked what the process was. She gave me the information and I went to the next step. I got a studied and completed the process of become a certified personal trainer. The gym where I worked out immediately hired me as a personal trainer. Now it was time to put my talents to the test and show the methods I’d developed to my clients. Within 9 months I had a steady stream of clients and implemented a personalized and customized program for each one since every person had different needs.
After some time I began doing my personal workouts at a different gym and at home and found greater success and freedom working with clients on my own. This provided more flexibility and opportunity to make meaningful changes in my clients lives.
